BuySellAds Pro users will be happy to hear that we added the ability to create a new type of ad zone that we call ‘Scheduled Sponsorships’. Rather than selling your inventory on a CPM or 30 day basis, what if you could make your inventory available and purchasable in smaller blocks? Say in 7 day blocks or 2 week blocks? What if you want different pricing for weekdays and weekends?
I’m sure you’ve all seen sites like Daring Fireball, Syndicate Ads and The Loop that sell their ad inventory weekly rather than going with the traditional CPM or 30 day models. Well, you can now replicate exactly what those sites are doing, with the added power of BuySellAds Pro and the BuySellAds Marketplace to help you fill that inventory.
How It Works
BSA Pro users will find the new Scheduled Sponsorship option when creating or editing ad zones in BuySellAds Pro. Simply select ‘Scheduled Sponsorships’ from the Public Rate Type drop-down menu and then follow the on-screen instructions. You can add just a few pre-defined date blocks, but we added a ‘clone’ feature that replicates a date block up until an ending date of your choice – very useful if you’d like to make your inventory available for, say, the next year. And you can then easily edit date blocks individually, which is also very useful if you’d like to set higher/lower rates for certain date blocks.

BuySellAds Marketplace
One of the advantages of Scheduled Sponsorships is that you can list that inventory in the BuySellAds Marketplace, highly increasing exposure to advertisers (and the whole process is automated).
Advertisers can select some of your pre-defined date blocks or simply enter a date range. It’s that easy.
BSA Pro Campaign Creation
Scheduled Sponsorships are also available to book via your own campaign creation page in BSA Pro. You can select one or more pre-defined date blocks or enter a date range and take your campaign live in seconds!
Sponsorship Booking Widget
It’s cool enough to be able to create those scheduled sponsorships, but we took the whole idea a step further and create an embeddable booking widget to help you drive even more sales. BSA Pro users will find a link to this widget by visiting a newly created scheduled sponsorship zone and hitting the ‘sponsorship widget’ button in the top right of the page.
