Disney Layoffs Could Start This Week

A source within Disney Interactive has announced that it will begin its first round of layoffs as early as this week. The company has lost more than $200 million a year between 2008 and 2012 and made several other job cuts within the company. Last year, Disney Interactive laid off more than 50 workers and closed Junction Point Studios in Texas. The company also closed Propaganda Games, which resulted in over 200 people losing their jobs.

Sasha Vujacic Signs With Los Angeles Clippers With 10-Day Contract

In a search to obtain more depth for their roster, the Los Angeles Clippers have signed Sasha Vujacic. He is a native of Slovenia, and will join a group of talented veterans that are continually being added to the Clipppers roster.
It will be homecoming for Vujacic in terms of location, as he was once a star for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he has not played in the NBA since the 2010-2011 season. After spending time overseas, and last played for the Turkish Euroleague team Anadolu Efes Istanbul in 2012-13.

Shoplifting Cop Charged on Two Counts of Retail Theft

On Wednesday Jan. 8, a New Jersey cop was caught shoplifting over $200.00 worth of gun accessories at a Cabela’s sporting goods store in Pittsburgh, Penn.
According to the Associated Press, State Trooper William Carvounis, 35, was arrested after paying for a few of the items, but attempted to steal the remaining merchandise in his pockets.
A Tilden officer reported the crime after discovering that the trooper had a concealed pistol magazine and handgun grips in his possession.
