The push-to-talk walkie talkie-type feature of many feature phones of old may seem antiquated, but such capabilities were once highly valued by certain people and professions. Because of this, many Nextel phones were mainstays of many construction sites and manufacturing facilities. When Nextel was bought by Sprint, however, the focus quickly shifted from push-to-talk as Nextel was gradually subsumed within Sprint.

It would appear that for most businesses, it’s only getting harder and harder to get your messages out to your fans. Remember the days when everybody was signing up for Facebook, and you had an awesome free way of getting in front of your biggest fans on a daily basis? They’d “like” your page because they liked your brand, wanted to engage with your business or get deals when you had them to offer. A marketing dream come true. Unfortunately, that dream is over.

Coca Cola chose to go with an ad that they had to have known would spark controversy — but some call that good marketing. After all, the Super Bowl came and went and we’re still talking about the commercial.

White House To Host Maker Faire This Year

Every year, Make magazine hosts Maker Faires in San Francisco, Detroit and New York. The events attract people from all over the world to show off their latest engineering and artistic creations. For those who can’t make it to the three main Maker Faires, local groups host their own in places like Luxembourg, Rome and Tokyo. Starting this year, the White House will be joining their ranks.

Bill Nye Is Set To Debate Creation Museum Founder On Feb 4th

In what could create a great deal of controversy among both atheists and creationists, a debate has been set at the creationism museum in Kentucky.
The debate will take place on Tuesday, February 4th, and will feature science expert Bill Nye, or “Bill Nye The Science Guy” and Ken Ham, who started the creationism museum, being a proponent of creationism over science.
Proponents of creationism could be excited for the museum’s founder to be able to take on such a figure in the world of science.

Dead Dolphins Washed Ashore on the Peru Coast Last Month

Wildlife experts have confirmed that last January over 400 dolphins washed up on the beaches of northern Peru, which is not too far away from the borders of nearby neighbor Ecuador.
Two hundred were washed ashore within the first three weeks and by the end of the month, 200 more were determined dead.
